Baseball season is finally here for 2022! It’s officially cold and wet enough to begin. Hinds starts next Tuesday at Millsaps.
So to get you in the right frame of mind for our Great American Pastime, our yearly ritual, enjoy this classic 9 pitch battle (all fastballs) between the Dodgers hard-throwing 21-year old rookie Bob Welch and veteran Yankee slugger (now a HOFer), Mr. October, Reggie Jackson in Game 2 of the 1978 World Series. The game is being played at Dodger Stadium in front of sell-out crowd.
The 5 minutes and 58 seconds is time well spent. This epic battle between pitcher and batter is just as intense as they all should be. Even the commentators say some good things for a change and the crowd at Dodger Stadium is intense and really into the drama. Baseball!
