The history-making 1989 Hinds Eagles team, including all team members and coaches, is the first inductee to the Official, Unofficial Hinds Baseball Hall of Fame.
The team won the MACJC South Division Championship, the MACJC State Championship, the NJCAA Region 23 Championship (Hinds’ first), the NJCAA Eastern District Championship (Mississippi’s first), and was the first Mississippi team to participate in the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Hinds remains the only Mississippi team to win a division, state, region and district championship and play in the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction in the same season.
