This an awesome tribute to Coach Bill “Moose” Perry by Kendall Smith at Coach’s long overdue induction to the Mississippi Association of Coaches Hall of Fame. Thanks to those that made that happen. Coach Perry was my high school baseball coach at Forest Hill from 1970-72.

What a great show of support from those he has influenced over the years. Thanks to all who showed up and showed out for the “Moosester.” It was quite a moment.

P.S. – It was Stewart Cliburn who scored on a Mike Sahler suicide squeeze bunt to beat Jackson Central and the great Joe McCaskill in 1972. The final score 51 years later indicates that Stu was safe and that the Rebels won! (see patch below)

Thank you “Coach” for all you have done for me and for so many others who have crossed your path over the years. I became a baseball coach only because of you.
